How to print from your iPhone (Print Magic Review)
Print Magic from Welalla is a very cool iPhone app that allows you to print directly from your iPhone. You can print almost any content via copy and paste or screen capture. Webpages are a snap to print, you copy the URL from your safari address bar, then open Print Magic and it does the rest.
The program is able to automatically detect local printers within your wifi network; even printers attached to computers. The IP based Minolta printer in our office worked with no setup, but my networked Brother Printer at home required about 15 minutes of configuring. After a few test pages it now works perfectly.
This is a really handy app for any one on the go without a laptop. The ability to print emails, airline tickets, letters, photos, and webpages directly from your phone truely empowers the concept of a pocket computer. An iPhone user now has the ability to walk into any Kinkos, office or home and print without a laptop in hand.
You can purchase Print Magic in the iTunes app store for $6.99
But before you buy, I suggest that you download Print Magic Test to make sure your printer is compatible.
*FTC Note: This was not a paid endorsement, but Welalla did provide the software free of charge to The Tech Lunch.
